Dear Colleague,

As a continuation of previous Conferences held in Finland, Czech Republic and Germany,

Sodankylä - 88,   Friedrichroda - 92,   Paseky - 95,   Syöte - 99,

we are now organizing the

5th International Conference on   'Function Spaces, Differential Operators, and Nonlinear Analysis'.

The Conference will honour   Professor Hans Triebel's   many outstanding contributions to the theory of function spaces and its applications to linear and nonlinear partial differential equations. Our aim is to stimulate international collaboration, and to promote the interaction of function spaces, PDE and computational mathematics in unifying efforts. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: The following speakers accepted our invitation

Oleg V. Besov       (Steklov Institute, Moscow / Russia)
Gérard Bourdaud       (Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris / France)
Djairo De Figueiredo       (Universidade Estadual de Campinas / Brasil)
Ron DeVore (University of South Carolina, Columbia / U.S.A.)
David E. Edmunds (University of Sussex, Brighton / U.K.)
Vladimir G. Maz'ya (Linköping University / Sweden)
Akihiko Miyachi (Tokyo Woman's Christian University / Japan)
Michael Solomyak (Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot / Israel)
Gunther Uhlmann (University of Washington, Seattle / U.S.A.)

The conference is supported by the   Graduiertenkolleg   "Analytic and stochastic structures and systems".

  1. Lectures
The programme of the conference consists of invited main lectures (60 min) and a restricted number of 30-min lectures given by the participants. Thus depending on your interest in giving a short talk the   scientific committee   may have to select. So, please, do not forget to send us your abstract in the (preliminary)   registration form !
